Mental health campaign updates

Just a quick post regarding some important initiatives going on in Canada.
First, on Monday, the Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada (CADDAC) successfully kicked off its 2013 ADHD Awareness Week campaign. As part of their efforts this year, the group shared a new research paper with provincial and federal legislative representatives across Canada showing that the impact of the disorder sprawls well beyond the individuals and their families. A link to the official news release for ADHD Awareness Week, providing further details around the CADDAC research paper can be found here.
Thanks to Jennifer Runza for passing on this info.
Next, the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) has officially launched the Mind Your Mental Health awareness campaign at the national level! If you haven’t yet contacted your provincial government to let them know that mental health is a priority, the time is now!

  1. I think it is a great idea for persons concerned about the issue to contact their MLAs. Would it be possible to give the link to MLA addresses. Even those of other provinces. Thanks, AnneP
